What’s Happening This Month – July, 2016

What We're Learning

What Your Child Is Learning

2s – Pre-K

  • Basic Truth: God made me.
  • Key Question: Who made everything?
  • Bottom Line: God made everything.
  • Memory Verse: “You made the world and everything in it.” Psalm 89:11
  • Theme: Creation Station Part Two

Kindergarten & K2

  • Curriculum overview: Jesus came to earth to save sinners. He lived with us and gave us an example to follow.
  • Memory Verse: “And the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, and we have seen His glory, glory as of the only Son from the Father, full of grace and truth.” John 1:14

1st-6th Grade

  • 1st-6th grade will continue in Psalms for the month of July with a look at how God is worthy of our lament, anger and praise. We will review all the ways we’ve seen God’s worthiness throughout the summer.
  • Memory Verse: “The Lord is my shepherd, I shall not want. He makes me lie down in green pastures He leads me beside the still waters. He restores my soul. He leads me in the paths of righteousness for His name’s sake. Even though I walk through the valleys of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil, for You are with me. Your rod and Your staff, they comfort me.” Psalm 23: 1-4

Volunteers of the Month
Saturday Volunteers of the Month

Saturday

Lenesa and Mike James volunteer each week teaching the kindergarten and 1st grade students. They have a knack for making learning fun as they gently point kids to Christ! They are always well prepared and make a great addition to our Fellowship Kids team. Way to go guys!

Sunday Volunteers of the Month

Sunday

Leah Webster is an amazing weekly substitute. She serves our pre-school age kids during the 9:35am service. Leah recently spent time in Cape Town, South Africa working with kids and was able to share about God’s love for them. Leah does the same here in the Learning Center each week. We are so blessed to have Leah on our team!
