What We're Learning

What Your Child Is Learning

2s – Pre-K

  • Basic Truth: Jesus wants to be my friend forever.
  • Key Question: Who loves you?
  • Bottom Line: Jesus loves me.
  • Memory Verse: “How wide and long and high and deep is the love of Christ.” Ephesians 3:18

Kindergarten/1st & K2

  • Curriculum overview: We will look at how Jesus demonstrated His power over the brokenness of the world caused by the fall.
  • Memory Verse: “Jesus said to her, ‘I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in me, though he die, yet shall he live, and everyone who lives and believes in me shall never die. Do you believe this?’” John 11:25-26

2nd-5th Grade

  • Curriculum overview: We will look at how God blesses and is trustworthy as we look at the life of Solomon. We will also take some time to review what we have learned over the past 12 weeks.
  • Memory Verse: “How abundant are the good things that you have stored up for those who fear you, that you bestow in the sight of all, on those who take refuge in you.” Psalm 31:19

6th Grade

  • Curriculum overview: This month we will spend several weeks talking about peer pressure and learning to stand for beliefs in the face of a world who may be leading in a different direction. The last week of the month we will introduce guy/girl relationships and look at biblical examples of how we should interact with others.
  • Memory Verse: “Do not be misled: Bad company corrupts good character.” 1 Corinthians 15:33
