What We're Learning

What Your Child Is Learning

2s – Pre-K

  • Basic Truth: God loves me.
  • Memory Verse: “God’s way is perfect.” 2 Samuel 22:31
  • Bottom Line: God’s way is perfect.

Kindergarten, 1st Grade & K2

  • Topic: Solomon
  • Unit Christ Connection: Solomon’s grand earthly reign is a picture of the eternal reign of Christ. Solomon’s sin divided his kingdom, but Christ’s perfect Kingdom is forever.
  • Memory Verse: “Let your heart therefore be wholly true to the Lord our God, walking in His statutes and keeping His commandments, as at this day.” 1 Kings 8:61

2nd-5th Grade

  • Topic: We continue to focus on missions around the world in a special series called Tales of the Ones He Won’t Let Go. We’ll be traveling all over the world exploring the struggles of different cultures, while finding ways to meet the needs of those around us. We will also be collecting back-to-school items for Preston Taylor Ministries to give to the kids they serve as school starts back in the fall.
  • Memory Verse: “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful. And let us consider how to stir up one another to love and good works.” Hebrews 10:23-24

6th Grade

  • Topic: Serving others
  • Scripture Verse: “As each of you has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace.” 1 Peter 4:10
