Home Plate

This monthly resource helps families bridge the gap between church and home. Home Plate works in tandem with our GO! Curriculum helping parents not only know what is being taught on Sunday mornings, but help create engaging conversations about the Bible at home around the dinner table. Each month contains a memory verse, dinner questions, age-level activities, and prayer prompts.

June: Family Worship Playlist

Music is a great way to incorporate Bible verses, faith conversations, and worship into your time in the car (or at home, too!). Thanks to all the music streaming options available today, your family can listen to worship music almost anywhere you go.

This summer, we would love to encourage your family to create a Family Worship Playlist. It’s a simple way to help steward your time together and turn everyday moments into opportunities for worship, prayer, and learning Scripture together. Here are a few ideas to help you get started:

  • Let each family member choose a few favorite worship songs to add
  • Include songs your kids are learning at church so they can sing along at home
  • Add Scripture-based songs that help kids memorize Bible verses
  • Use drive time to talk about song lyrics and what they teach us about God
  • Start or end the day by listening to one worship song together
  • Create separate playlists for calm moments, dance parties, road trips, or bedtime

Here are a few playlists that may help give you some ideas:

  • Seeds Family Worship – All their songs are Bible Verses making it really easy for the whole family to memorize scripture together.
  • Pine Cove Picks – if you need fun music full of lots of energy, you know Pine Cove will bring the choices for you! From old school DC Talk to having Ants in Your Pants, this playlist will have you worshipping and dancing all summer.
  • Fellowship Songs – here is a list of Fellowship Songs written by our Worship Leaders here at Fellowship
