Update from Dr. Imad Shehadeh

Dr. Imad Shehadeh

Dr. Imad Shehadeh, a Global Partner since 2009, is a Jordan-born Palestinian Christian who received his Ph.D from Dallas Theological Seminary. After receiving his Ph.D Dr. Shehadeh returned to Jordan and founded Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (JETS) in 1991 to train Arab leaders to lead churches in the Arab world. Now in its twentieth year, JETS has successfully trained hundreds of leaders over the years from all over the Middle East, the Arab Peninsula, and North Africa, and has Bachelors, Masters and Doctorate graduate programs.  JETS plays a strategic role in God’s plan to build His church in predominantly Muslim nations. It’s for that reason that we rejoice with Dr. Imad in this most recent news of the seminary’s accreditation renewal. Please read a special message from Dr. Imad below as well as hear personally from a JETS student and his desire to take what he is learning from JETS and share it with an unreached people group in Africa.

Accreditation Renewal

It is my pleasure to announce that JETS has just received accreditation renewal by Asia Theological Association (ATA), which is the largest accrediting agency in the third world. This re-accreditation is the third in a row for all the bachelor’s programs (CBS, DBS, and BTh), as well as the master’s programs ( MABS, MDiv, and ThM). The relatively new DMin program was commended and will be evaluated for accreditation after its first graduating class.

What accreditation provides is assurance of the depth and height of the theological education received as a tool to internalize the truth of Scripture in the heart and translate it in life and service.

Much appreciation goes to all faculty and staff for working together as one team to make this happen. Thanks also goes to our incredible board chairman and board members for their wise decisions and continual encouragement through the years.

The first and last thanksgiving is to the Lord for His grace that works in us and through us in the privilege of advancing His purposes!
