The Work of PEACE International

Posted on February 23, 2025

In 2014, Fellowship came alongside Global Partner Rosemary Khamati to invest in desperate South Sudanese, who had freshly and traumatically landed in a Northern Uganda refugee camp due to a brutal war being waged in their country.  Today, having started with literally nothing, there now stands a Christian school for 830 students pre-K thru 7th grade, thanks to Fellowship’s support.  The school recently tested #8 in all the government district’s 120 schools and #1 in all refugee schools.   We praise God for this!

In addition, PEACE trains 20 pastors in a two-year program focusing on Trauma Healing, Peace and Reconciliation and Inductive Bible Study.  To date, over 100 pastors have been trained and are currently working in surrounding refugee settlements.  180 women participate in regular Bible study/prayer groups and receive training in business skills, management and savings groups to support their families.

Please enjoy this short video (2 minutes and 22 seconds) to see how PEACE is bringing about gospel transformation in a wholehearted approach to the students in their school.
