Hope Rising in the Middle East

Many in our church body are unfamiliar with how God is miraculously working through Dr. Imad Shehadeh at Jordan Evangelical Theological Seminary (JETS) in Amman, Jordan. JETS was founded in founded in 1991 as one of the earliest accredited evangelical training institutions in the Middle East by Dr. Shehadeh, a Jordan-born Palestinian Christian who received his PhD from Dallas Theological Seminary.

With Evangelical Christianity representing less than 1% of the population, JETS exists to equip Arab Christian leaders to plant and strengthen churches throughout the Arab world. JETS advances the gospel through accredited academic programs, non-formal training initiatives, and its Arabic publishing house.

To date, JETS has produced over 600 graduates from its bachelor, master, doctoral, and non-formal training programs both on campus and online. These graduates represent over 22 nations across the Middle East. With graduates returning to serve in hidden corners of these nations, planting churches and discipling believers where it is unsafe to be known, the impact of JETS is beyond measure.
