Susan was born and raised in Dexter, Michigan—a small town outside of Ann Arbor. Susan trusted Christ as a child and experienced significant growth in her personal relationship with Jesus in high school, largely through the impact of Young Life.
Susan moved to Nashville in 2004 to study music, where she met her husband, Ryan. Susan holds a Bachelor’s degree from Belmont University in Commercial Voice, with an Emphasis in Composition and Arranging. She is also certified to teach K-12 general and vocal music, and has partially completed a Masters in Music Education also at Belmont. Since finishing her Bachelor’s degree in 2008, Susan has worked in entertainment, non-profit, arts education, business, and ministry. She has served in a variety of roles including educator, administrator, project manager, program leader, and team builder.
Susan now serves on the Leadership Team at Fellowship as Project Manager of Executive Initiatives, and is grateful to get to utilize her passions and wiring to build up the local church.
Susan and her husband, Ryan, married in 2008 and live in Brentwood. They have been attending Fellowship since the Spring of 2008 and serve on the Worship & Arts team, Broadcast Video team, and with the Marriage Ministry. Susan continues to stay involved in music through songwriting, teaching, and leading worship.
