Note from Teacher
“My wife Anne and I, who have been married for 36 years. We spent this past fall with six other couples going through this study. It was powerful! Our small group time was both affirming and challenging, and the time spent working through the material with my wife was deeply enriching and gently pushed us to some risky conversation and some new-found intimacy.”

The desire for safety, freedom and economic well-being continues to drive refugees toward Europe. The Greek island of Lesvos, sitting just a few kilometers off the coast of Turkey, has become a popular destination for many of these travelers. Yet for thousands of people this dream of freedom has led them into a refugee compound of cramped conditions and subsistence living, while they wait out their asylum process.
Our Fellowship team will join a team from Good Shepherd Community Church in Oregon, as we serve these precious refugees at Moria camp on Lesvos. We will serve food and water, pick up garbage, pass out clothes and do basic camp maintenance, as well as other strenuous acts of service. Most of all, we will exhibit the love of Jesus in all we do and say.
- Leader: Dan Vorm
- Qualifications: Adults above the age of 18 only, in good physical condition.
Team members will share their life skills and passion for Jesus with some of the church’s 1,000 women participating in the savings and credit association groups.

Team members will share their faith, business skills and experience with more than 1,300 savings group members in their quest for a sustainable future through the Savings and Credit Association groups and the Warner Butters Center. We will walk alongside the women through gospel transformation, sharing our faith and hope for a future in Christ.

Our team will join Operation Joshua, an annual Bible distribution campaign put on by Hellenic Ministries.
